Discover How Young Music Sensation, Zayquan Aeternum, Is Pushing The New Generation Of Hip-Hop
Since the emergence of hip-hop culture, it has reached a significant point in the development of music as we know it today. In this present generation, budding talents are growing and are being discovered because this niche affords a level ground for creative expressions.
Corboi Kennedy-Flomo, popularly known as Zayquan Aetereum, is one of the rising talents in the hip-hop world. The young sensation has been making music since the age of 14, and he keeps getting better at his craft. Pretty Boy Zay makes music for the love of it, and this comes as a result of the creativity sparked from his other talents.
“Firstly was music, my true love before leaking into other things like writing, graphics arts, and drawing. I started making music professionally at 19, even though the process of rapping and singing started at 14, and I have been making it for about three years at this point,” Zayquan Aeternum says.
The New Jersey-born artist loves to be dynamic with his music. His style of music is made from several genres like hip-hop, drill sounds, soft rock, and lyrical rap. According to Zayquan, his music is a multi-genre type of sound that is fused with a fantasy of sci-fi and adds a poetic feel to it.
He said:
“There is a lot of sadness and loss in my music, but I temper it with majesty, arrogance and depravity. For me, my sound represents the condition of being both human that has all flaws, and a superhuman above it all”.
Zayquan has the determination to always do good music, despite all the challenges that come with being an upcoming artist, in the very competitive music industry. Having experienced several setbacks like being scammed, facing the difficulties of building a strong fan base, not having the best feedbacks from his songs, being taunted online, and so on, he has not deterred from showing the world his talents.
Although, the stress weighs in sometimes and it tries to limit him. At some point, Zayquan was very depressed and even suicidal. The adverse effects tried to creep into his life and it reflected in his daily habit. However, Zayquan decided to overcome these challenges by bouncing back in a better way.
Zayquan said:
“I simply refused to stop and believed without any evidence at all that I could make it in music. I realized that I could not work and become successful like that, so I phased it out. The depression and stress come with the territory, and I just learned to accept and deal with it.”
Zayquan Aeternum’s talents are not limited to making music. The young star is also the author of the book titled, Black Emperor. This goes to show the range of talents Zayquan possesses. He looks to adopt some production skills to his profile because it would be great for him to make his music in a unique style.
